The Minolta Maxxum STsi Panorama Date kit includes the compact, lightweight Minolta Maxxum STsi single-lens reflex camera that is equipped with panoramic shooting mode, date imprinting, and a host of accessories such as a detachable 35-80mm lens, a wide strap, and batteries. This SLR kit provides many creative options for advanced users, such as the ability to shoot double exposures, but it is designed with a user-friendly format so that even novice photographers can enjoy using it. The Minolta Maxxum STsi provides a fully automatic point-and-shoot mode, plus aperture, shutter, and manual setting modes. Program selection modes include portrait, landscape, close-up, sports, and night portrait settings. This camera features precise continuous autofocusing plus eight-segment honeycomb metering or spot metering for even more accurate exposures. In addition, the Minolta Maxxum has a built-in, versatile pop-up flash with five flash modes (including red-eye reduction) and wireless flash control modes. The continuous film advance is used to capture action sequences. Other advanced features include three-shot autoexposure bracketing and a self-timer function. The Minolta Maxxum STsi comes complete with all necessary batteries and a limited one-year warranty on parts and labor.

| I received an STsi as a gift after I returned my Rebel 2000. The STsi handled nicer and offered more accurate exposure. The cameras ability to detemine what I was shooting impressed me. The STsi offers eay to use accurate picture taking. It was a great gift and I highly recommend it |

| This camera is very similar in features to the Canon EOS Rebel 2000, in about the same price range, but I was still impressed enough with it to make a few comments. One thing this camera offers that the Canon doesn't is predictive autofocus. This can be quite useful when doing action shots. It also offers a panorama mode, which the Canon doesn't seem to offer. I've enjoyed using this mode quite a bit on my little Fuji Tiara APS camera. Both cameras have similar F ratios for the lens and both have 1/2000th of a sec top shutter speeds. One thing the Canon offers that is nice is the 7 customizable autofocus points, which some advanced users might find useful. One last thing to be aware of is that the Minolta camera will usually be offered with a 3rd party lens. If you want a Minolta lens you'll need to pay quite a bit more for it. However, the Canon comes with a Canon lens but doesn't cost any more. All in all, this is a pretty feature-packed camera at an attractive price, which should serve the needs of the vast majority of photo buffs. |

| The Minolta Maxxum STsi camera is the best investment my family has made in a long time. The Minolta Maxxum STsi comes fully equiped from when you purchace it, therefore not having to spend extra money on equipment for your camera. The quality of the pictures that the camera takes are nothing but supurb. I am not an overly experienced photographer, although i have found this a very simple yet very professional camera extreemly easy to use. I recommend this for anyone who is thinking of buying a new camera. |

| This camera is great! It is so easy to use! I upgraded from a point-and-shoot APS camera to this Minolta Maxxum STsi because the APS camera stopped working after only 2 years. I was looking for something that would last longer and is more powerful than a point-and-shoot camera, and I've found it! I was getting tired of the blurry photos and the bad picture quality of my old camera. My mother owns a 15-year-old Nikon SLR camera and it takes pictures 10 times clearer than my APS camera. My Minolta Maxxum now takes pictures 10 times better than her camera. Now she is borrowing mine! I highly recommend this camera. |

| This camera is a tremendous value for both the aspiring and expert photographer. It is packed with features such as fully automatic mode (can be switched back from manual mode at a touch of a button) to catch those unexpected picture moments and aperture and shutter priority modes. The multiple subject program modes (portrait, night, close up, landscape etc) make professional quality pictures possible at a touch of a button. Another great feature that this camera offers is the ability to take panoramic pictures at a touch of a button so you can get those long scenic shots with no problem. No need for the expensive Advantix systems. This camera is hard to put down because it is designed with an amatuer in mind and very easy to understand manual makes operating the camera a pleasure. It is lightweight but yet substantial enough to prevent shaking while holding the camera. I have gone through 5 rolls in 2 days and the quality of the prints are superb especially when using the potrait mode. Images are clear and precise in automatic mode. The lens is sufficient but if you can afford the telephoto lens, go for it. The balance between price and features makes the STsi a must have for anyone looking for a new camera SLR or point and shoot. |
