I’ve tried a bunch of Lomo cameras and I have to say that the Lomo Fisheye camera truly stands out. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to try out tons of cameras like the LC-A, the Holga, and the Colorsplash – but the Fisheye has something really special about it. Sure, it’s made out of plastic. And it looks like a kid’s toy. But it’s actually a powerful camera that can give you some interesting results.

You Gotta Get Close With This Camera

One of the advantages of the Lomo Fisheye camera is how close you can get to whatever you want to take a picture of. And you have to do this if you want to get the best picture. You can’t use the Fisheye like you would any other camera. Otherwise, your pictures will have a cool effect but you won’t be able to see much of what is happening. But when you get in super close, you get to see ordinary items in completely different ways.

You Can Think Completely Different With It

Plain old digital cameras take all the fun out of photography. Most people don’t go crazy with them to see all the amazing possibilities that photography opens up to them. With the Lomo Fisheye camera, you can make your first step into seeing like the rock star photographers that you love so much. Everything you see in the world will be completely different when put through this lens. Mind Blowing Effects With The Simple Cross Process

Want to enter a new dimension of color? You need to try cross processing with your Lomo Fisheye camera then. I can’t even tell you how many cool photos I’ve gotten just by experimenting with different films in different cameras. The Fisheye is perfect to experiment with because you’re already getting a cool effect from the Fisheye lens. Cross processing will make it look ten times as awesome!

Want some extra help? Don’t process your film when you take it out of the camera. Instead, try to grab the film’s leader and then run the film through another camera you have. This is called double exposure and you’ll love what happens. In fact, it’s my favorite photographic technique just for the documentary effect of two lives overlapping!
